I hit a problem with my treadmill today... Yesterday after my run the "Lube Belt" message started to scroll across the screen, which meant a trip to Canadian Tire to buy the required silicone lube. I lubed the belt (something I've done before) but then during my run had problems because the treadmill kept dying on me - the circuit breaker was blowing.
After several aborted attempts I ended my running attempts for the day and searched online for a possible solution (other than running outside in the cold). It took me a while but I think I figured it out. I had tightened the belt too much after loosening it to apply the lube (don't know what I was thinking) so the motor had to work harder than it was suppose to. After the football game I tried again - it lasted longer - but died again after the half hour mark. I loosened the belt some more - but didn't want to continue running until the treadmill cooled down.
I managed to get 9.2km of stop and go running today. Hopefully it won't be a continuing problem...
