A quality run on the treadmill tonight. Over two episodes of Criminal Minds - I ran 2 miles at easy pace + 4 x (4/5 mile at threshold pace with 1 minute rests) + 5 minutes easy pace + 3 x (4/5 mile at threshold pace with 1 minute rests) + 2 miles easy pace. The 4/5 mile was suppose to be a full mile - but because I've got a combination of speed and grade to simulate my mile pace I didn't want to go too crazy. In total I was on the treadmill for 1 hour 32 minutes and 16.09km.
I had dinner a few hours before and ate a pack of Sport Beans (Fruit Punch flavour) about a half an hour before the run. Not the tastiest - and I can't imagine chewing on them while running but I had enough energy to get through the session. I also opened up a pack of GU Chomps (Blueberry pomegranate) to have during the run. They smelt bad and tasted bad. I only had one.
I triple padded the problem area of my foot. It didn't get any worse throughout the run and I barely noticed there was a problem. I even think it's improved since yesterday.
