Day 140 - 27 Days To Go

I really can't trust the weather forecast. It was 4C yesterday and today I ran in 1C weather. At least it wasn't raining (snowing?). I had to open up my winter clothes box and pull out my tights, balaclava and gloves. It felt weird wearing it in April, but I was going to have a warm, long run.

It was a quality session - 2.5 hours at easy pace. I ended up spending 2 hours 39 minutes on the road only because I misjudged when I should turn back. I ran a total of 29.59km - my regular Lakeshore route.

A couple cars honked at me early on in the run - so I think they must have recognized me. At one point I was stopped at a light and another runner came up beside me, asked me if I was doing a long run. I told him I was. He mentioned he was only doing 16km that day. He ran off ahead and I followed behind for a while. At one point I saw him walking, he turned, looked at me and then started to run again. It was a bit weird.

One guy shouted at me as I ran by "You're turning back!" (I guess I must have passed him at one point.) I did the only thing I could do - laugh a bit awkwardly. Maybe I should have given him the thumbs up sign.
