A forced day for rest today. And a good chance to figure out my transition back to running this week.That's assuming the x-rays don't show any problems with my foot - I'll find out early tomorrow morning.
I won't be jumping right back into my weekly mileage. Based on my training program I'll be easing back in, using 68km as my base. Because I haven't been running for 12 days the first 6 days will be at 50% load and another 6 days at 75% load. Then a return to normal training. That means 34km this week and 51km next week. I think I'll make up the difference in time on the stationary bike. I'm not quite sure what I'll do about my "quality" training over the next 12 days - I'll see how I feel after the first week.
