Week 12 and Phase 2 is in the books. My run today also completes my "ramp up" phase after not being able to run for almost two weeks. I can now continue training as I normally would - however - I'm going to be cautious about achieving my peak mileage. The plan was some heavy running over the past four weeks would get me to 85km/week - but since that didn't happen I'm not going to push it and possibly suffer a more serious injury.
7.5km on the treadmill today. I also set things up for my long run tomorrow. I'm planning to run from my condo in Burlington to my Dad's place in Oakville. I dropped off some clothes, my ice pack and some food. I made sure I drank enough liquids and ate plenty of carbs. It will be my longest ever run. I'm looking forward to it.
