One run today - 8.05km and almost 50 minutes on the treadmill. I was asked if I was going to stop drinking during my training and at first I laughed it off. But it's been something I've been thinking about over the last few weeks. Of course that might upset a lot of my friends.
I also read the chapter on re-fueling during and after exercising in my "Sports Nutrition Guidebook" (Nancy Clark). I marked it up a bit with my pencil, including the part on "grazing" - after a heavy workout you consume 300 calories within 15 minutes, then more calories after 15 minutes, then more after 30 minutes, then keep "grazing" for next next four or five hours. I'll need to keep that in mind for my longer runs during Phase III.
