I sat around in my shorts and running shoes for about an hour before I got onto the treadmill to test my foot. It does usually take me a while to mentally prepare myself for a run. Some people can just get up and go but that's not me. Today it was more wondering whether I should even test it out or not.
I looked back at my blog and found that this same problem first occurred in Week 3 - pain on the top of my right foot. I took three days off from running, bought new shoes and the problem went away.
Finally after more time searching foot pain on the internet, I started up the treadmill and tested it. Two minutes into the test I decided it wasn't a good idea. So I headed over to the "gatehouse" at my condo and spent 50 minutes (and apparently 18km) on a stationary bike. No pain. Not ideal, but I'll continue to take the cautious approach until I'm satisfied this problem won't crop up again.
