Day 91 - 76 Days To Go

A rest day. Let my body recover from my highest daily and weekly mileage.

I've been wondering how I'll be handling my half marathon next Sunday. I can run it as a true race. It would give me a good indication of where I stand in my training and give me some confidence. I would have to skip my next one or two regular quality training runs.

I could also run it as part of my regular training, which would mean running the 21.1km at marathon pace - as well as starting off with a 2 mile easy run and ending with a 2 mile easy run. It might look a bit funny me continuing to run past the finish line...

In the past year I've run 1,996.4km - that's up from 927.0km in 2009 (the first year I started running). I still consider this my third training session. The first one began in March 2009 and officially ended in October 2009 (although September and October was light on running). That totaled 927.0km. The second began in March 2010 and again ended in October. That totaled 1,216.5km (with July and August light on running). The first two training sessions focused in on 5km races.

My official marathon training started in November - and since then I've run 804.4km.
