I bought another pair of shoes today - it's the same model as my current two pairs of shoes. I did a calculation earlier this week and my current shoes are going to have too much mileage by the time the marathon arrives. I figured I'd buy them now, work them in a bit before the race. I also got the battery in my watch replaced. The digital display had started to fade and the last thing I wanted was for it to die during the marathon.
One run today for 8.05km. I won't hit my mileage goals for the week - thanks to the cold/headaches I had earlier on this week. Although yesterday my co-workers stated that I looked/sounded worse than I had. Still - I'm feeling better. Don't think it should be a problem moving forward.
