Day 125 - 42 Days To Go

Another Sunday, another long run. This time it was 22 miles (35.4km) or 2.5 hours at easy pace - whichever is less. Based on my easy pace (5:23 minute/km) the 2.5 hours would be less. I ran down Walker's Line to Lakeshore then headed east towards Oakville. I turned back when I hit Coronation Park. I was a lot faster than my easy pace for the first half - but my breathing wasn't labored so I wasn't worried. Going back was a bit more difficult - the wind was no longer at my back and I had the uphill climb on Walkers.

As I neared Walkers my right calf muscle started to twinge. It wasn't serious - but did signal to me that I didn't hydrate myself enough yesterday. I took down a lot of Gatorade and did manage to make it back to the condo before a full on cramp started.

When I got back I tried out the Myoplex Banana Creme beverage. It was okay - but had a medicine aftertaste.

I didn't swear nearly as much this time but the distance was covered at a slower pace, so I wasn't as sore.
