I was worried weather might be a problem for my run this morning. The hour by hour forecast looked pretty good - some clouds, some sun but when I looked outside there was nothing but clouds. I checked the radar and it predicted rain starting about an hour into my run with it potentially getting very heavy towards the end. I decided to adjust my run so that I would have the option cutting it short and finishing it on my treadmill if the weather did get bad.
It was my first weekend morning run. I didn't get out at 7:30am like I wanted to, but I was on the streets before 8:30am. So were a lot of other people running - especially on Lakeshore. I got half way to Bronte when I felt a few rain drops so I decided to turn back. I'm very glad I did - and it wasn't because of the weather. About 19km in I had a very strong desire to find a restroom - so I was going to be finishing my run on the treadmill even if the weather held out. I got in 22.65km outdoors and another 6.44km on the treadmill for a 29.1km run.
It started with 2 miles easy pace, 4 x (5 minutes at threshold + 1 minute rests), 80 minutes at easy pace, 4 x (5 minutes at threshold + 1 minute rests) which was done on the treadmill and another 2 miles at easy pace (I ended it after about 1.5 miles). It took me 2 hours 37 minutes.
