My regular Monday day of rest. I'm feeling better today than I did after previous long Sunday runs. It may be because my body is adapting to the stress. It may also be because I had to take a short break before finishing my run on the treadmill yesterday.
It's interesting how different people view my training. During a 5-year old birthday party on Saturday, a friend commented on how hard it must be that I couldn't eat anything at the party. I then admitted that I had already had two slices of pizza. I guess I've been selective as to what my training will impact. I won't have a beer - but I have been having a lot of donuts lately. I've included more vegetables in my diet - but when I don't buy a donut, I'm buying a chocolate chip cookie. It's something I can improve on in my last month of training.
